Preparing a Bequest
Things to consider: An up to date Will is important.
A clearly written and up to date Will is the only way to ensure that your estate is distributed according to your wishes. A simple Will is usually quite inexpensive to prepare. If you already have a Will, minor changes can be made by attaching a codicil.

Suggested wording for a bequest
I give the sum of $ to The Sydney High School Foundation Inc ....
or
I give .... of the residue of my estate to The Sydney High School Foundation Inc ....
or
I give to The Sydney High School Foundation Inc, my property at .... (or my shares, debentures, or as the case may be)....
or
After the foregoing provisions of my Will (for my family, friends or others) have been carried out, I give to The Sydney High School Foundation Inc all the rest and residue of my estate whatsoever kind and wheresoever located ....
or
I give the whole of my estate both real and personal to The Sydney High School Foundation Inc....
Once you have indicated the gift, you can then specify its purpose with the following suggested wording:
…....to be used for [indicate how the gift is to be used by The Sydney High School Foundation Inc]
or
....to be applied for the purposes or the objects of The Sydney High School Foundation Inc in such a manner as the Board of Directors or other governing body of the said Foundation shall determine in their absolute discretion.
